$10,000 lost to scam: At about 8:20 a.m. in the 28000 block of 22nd Ave. S., someone phoned the police to let them know that someone posing as a captain from the King County Sheriff’s Office called her to inform her that she owed $37,000 for missing jury duty. The victim stated that she could only afford to pay $1,000 at the time and then transferred the money using a crypto exchange machine.

There was one vehicle theft, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Fake money scam: At about 5:35 p.m. in the 34000 block of 2nd Ln. S., a caller reported meeting with someone at their apartment complex to sell a “Call of Duty Black Ops” Xbox video game for $60. After the man he sold the game to left, the seller realized that the money was fake.

There was one vehicle theft, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Open container: At about 12:05 a.m., a man was pulled over and provided a valid driver’s license, but failed to provide insurance and registration. During the stop, the officer noticed the man had an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle, but the driver then drove away from the stop, leaving his ID behind. The officer did not pursue the driver, but traffic infractions and criminal citations were sent to the city prosecutor for review.
Assault with a knife: At about 8:15 p.m. in the 28000 block of Military Rd. S., there was a report of an assault with a knife.

There were two vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Shoplifter caught with a weapon: At about 8:35 a.m. in the 34000 block of 16th Ave. S., officers were dispatched to the listed location for a male detained for shoplifting who was armed with a gun. Officers arrived on scene and developed probable cause to arrest him for felony possession of a firearm.
Man assaulted by transient female: At about 3:05 p.m. in the 35000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., the owner of a used tire warehouse reported being assaulted by a transient female. The female was located and was initially uncooperative and kept running into the roadway. She was eventually detained, though the victim only wanted her trespassed and did not want to press charges.
Shot in the abdomen: At about 4:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of S. 281st Pl., there was a report of a shooting with injuries. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition. Two suspects at large.
School vending machine: At about 8:20 a.m. in the 35000 block of 16th Ave. S., there was a report that on Thanksgiving Day, two subjects entered the vestibule of Todd Beamer High School via a door that was apparently not secured. The pair then pried open a vending machine and took the currency and coins within.

Shoes stolen: At about 7 p.m. in the 2000 block of S. Commons, there was a report that three people stole nine pairs of Nike brand shoes from the location and then fled on foot into the parking lot area. The total value of the stolen merchandise was about $900.

Home invasion robbery: At about 1:50 a.m. in the 1200 block of SW 308th St., officers were dispatched to a report of a possible home invasion. Upon arrival, probable cause was established for robbery in the first degree.
Officer assaulted: At about 7:40 a.m. in the 31000 block of 10th Ave. S., officers responded to a welfare check that resulted in one of the officers being assaulted by the subject.

Gun found in parking lot: At about 2:15 p.m. in the 5000 block of SW Dash Point Rd., someone reported finding a .357 handgun after cleaning the west side of the parking lot. The gun was found not to be registered.
Threat with a firearm: At about 2:40 a.m. in the 29000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., there was a report of a threat with a firearm. When officers contacted the suspect, a search warrant was served, and he was found to have a firearm.

There were zero vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Man threatens to disarm officer: At about 5:50 a.m., a male made threats to disarm a police officer of his firearm. The officer deployed a less-lethal alternative to de-escalate the incident.
