A 44-year-old man was shot in the abdomen on Sunday outside a Federal Way bar.
At approximately 1:20 a.m., Federal Way police responded to 27201 Pacific Highway South, a parking lot outside of Castaway Tavern, after receiving a report that a shooting had occurred following a disturbance.
Upon arriving, officers saw a vehicle fleeing the scene but caught up to it at an AM/PM just east of the location. They identified the victim, who had suffered from a single gunshot wound. The Tacoma resident was taken to Harborview Medical Center but police say his injuries are non-life threatening.
Cathy Schrock, a spokeswoman with the Federal Way Police Department, said detectives are still investigating, but the circumstances leading up to the disturbance are still unknown at this time.
