There were two vehicle thefts reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Marijuana and too many passengers: At 1:15 a.m. in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report that an officer saw a vehicle without its headlights on during hours of darkness. The officer contacted the driver of the vehicle and observed an open marijuana container within reach. Additionally, passengers were not wearing their seatbelts, and the five-person vehicle had six passengers in it.
Student assaulted at bus stop: At 4:28 p.m. in the 1200 block of South 336th Street, there was a report from a juvenile female who said she was assaulted by a fellow classmate at the bus stop after school.
Luring ex-friend out to fight: At 6:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Southwest Campus Drive, there was a report that a female said that some of her ex-friends were attempting to get her to leave her apartment to fight. She said that they were honking their horn and knocking on her door. The reporting party said that she had agreed to fight with them previously. Officers advised her to find legal alternatives to fighting.
April 10
There were two vehicle thefts reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Shot in the leg: At 1:54 a.m. in the 700 block of Southwest 338th Street, there was a report of a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a man had shot himself in the leg.
Dine and dash: At 6:13 a.m. in the 34000 block of 16th Avenue South, there was a report that two males ate $58 worth of food and left without paying. The males were not located.
Suspected goldfish poisoning: At 2:40 p.m. in the 400 block of South 325th Place, there was a report from someone who said that their goldfish had been poisoned. The reporting party stated that she came to this conclusion because the fish had turned black. She had no evidence to support this claim. Goldfish are also not encompassed in animal cruelty laws. April 11
There were two vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Burglary: At 5:28 a.m. in the 34000 block of Hoyt Road Southwest, there was a report that officers had responded to a commercial alarm. Upon arrival, the front glass was shattered. Prior to arrival, officers received CCTV footage and observed a dark-colored truck arrive at the location and break the window.
Fake job interview: At 10:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Southwest Campus Drive, there was a report from a man who said he had gone to an interview for a job posting, but it was fake. He said they took a picture of his identification card.
Business called 30 times: At 11:20 a.m. in the 31000 block of 33rd Avenue Southwest, there was a report from a business owner that said a subject had called his business 30 times in one day. The owner said he did not want to press charges, but wanted the incident documented. Officers called the man who was calling and suggested he stop the behavior.
Student worried she will be jumped: At 12:11 p.m. at a Federal Way high school, there was a report from a female student who said that she was hiding in class due to being worried she was going to be jumped by a student known for harassing people. The school handled further investigation.
April 12
There were three vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Car on top of a fence: At 12:44 a.m. in the 36000 block of Enchanted Parkway South, officers spoke with a driver who had crashed, and his car was stuck on top of a fence. Officers called Washington State Patrol to come back and control the scene, as there were tow trucks and a power line blocking the road, and it was originally their investigation.
Throwing rocks at a vehicle: At 12:54 p.m. in the 2400 block of South 273rd Street, someone reported that they saw a young person with a durag throwing rocks at their car. The reporting party stated that after looking at camera footage, she believed the perpetrator was her daughter’s ex-boyfriend.
April 13
There was one vehicle theft reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Man running in the street: At 1:10 p.m. in the 1400 block of Southwest 356th Street, there was a report that a man was running in the street and could not be controlled. His family advised officers that he had not been taking his medication. He was involuntarily committed.
April 14
There were two vehicle thefts reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
BBQ fork abdomen puncture: At 12:12 a.m. in the 1200 block of South 320th Street, someone called to report an unwanted person at the business who may have received a stab wound. When officers checked on the man, the man said that he fell on his bag and received a puncture to his abdomen from a large BBQ fork. The man refused medical aid and left the location. He was not actively bleeding.
April 15
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Motorcycle in the middle of the road: At 7:01 a.m. in the 31000 block of 44th Avenue Southwest, there was a report that a crashed motorcycle was found on its side in the middle of the street. The registration showed that it was from 2014. Contact with the owner was attempted, but with no success. The bike had algae and mold growing on it.
Firearm found inside a marijuana bag: At 3:33 p.m. in the 31000 block of 4th Avenue South, a female reported that they had found a bag of marijuana and a firearm inside. The firearm was found to be stolen. Officers retrieved the firearm and booked it into evidence. The bag was hidden in a bush.
