Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:
• Lewd act: At 7:25 p.m. Oct. 24 at 31621 23rd Ave. S., police were called to the transit center where an intoxicated male was masturbating in front of a female on a bus.
• Stolen lawn ornamentation: At 12:21 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 100 block of Southwest 307th Place, an unknown suspect stole a large 7-foot arbor from a victim’s yard.
• Residential burglary: At 3:25 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 30900 block of 16th Avenue Southwest, a victim’s cello, acoustic guitar, digital camera and netbook were stolen from her home.
• Overdose: At 10 p.m. Oct. 26 on South 333rd Lane, police responded to a potential ecstasy overdose. The subject was conscious but unresponsive.
• Counterfeit: At 11:22 a.m. Oct. 26 at one of the city’s Walmart stores, address not given in the police report, two counterfeit $20 bills were found in a cashier’s till at the end of his or her shift.
• Dispute with a knife: At 9:44 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 30900 block of 1st Avenue South, police were dispatched a scene where two subjects were in a dispute that involved a knife. One subject fell down a flight of stairs and was injured.
• Mall trespass: At 4:51 p.m. Oct. 27 at 1928 S. Commons, two subjects were trespassed from the mall for riding their bicycles inside at a high rate of speed.
• Gun: At 9:56 p.m. Oct. 28 at 803 S.W. 312th St., a suspect entered a store holding a gun. A victim ran out of the store and the suspect ran in the opposite direction. Nothing was stolen from the establishment.
