A man suffered a broken leg approximately 5 p.m. Dec. 17 when he stepped into southbound traffic at South 330th Street and Pacific Highway South.
The man, whose age is unknown, attempted to cross the roadway without the assistance of a crosswalk, police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said. The dark, wet weather prohibited the driver from seeing the man, she said.
The driver remained at the scene and traffic was restricted to one lane for a little more than one hour. Police determined the motorist is not at fault for the incident, Schrock said.
