Man beaten then stabbed at Federal Way bus stop

A 47-year-old man was beaten with a pipe and then stabbed by a 22-year-old man at a bus stop in Federal Way on Monday night.

At around 8 p.m. Sep. 20, Federal Way police were dispatched to a bus stop on Pacific Highway South and South 312th Street after a witness called 911 to report a man had been beaten with a metal pipe, according to Federal Way police.

While police were en route to the scene they learned the perpetrator went back to the bus stop and stabbed the victim several times, according to Federal Way police.

When police officers arrived, they administered first aid to the victim while other officers searched for the man suspected of committing the assault, according to Federal Way police.

Police found the suspect on the 1400 block of South 312th Street and arrested him, according to Federal Way police. He will be booked into the King County jail on first-degree assault charges, police said.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he is in serious but stable condition, police said.
