A 51-year-old homeless man was arrested Nov. 21 at the Club Palisades apartment complex in Federal Way. He faces charges for indecent liberties, attempted burglary and assault.
Federal Way police received calls about the man disturbing several residents at the apartment complex.
A woman called police reporting she saw someone on her friend’s porch and he was looking into her apartment. She described the male as Hispanic, late 20’s, about 5-foot-3 inches, thin, with a shaved head and mustache.
She told police that as she was on the phone with them, the man was standing about one foot from the opposite side of the sliding glass door on the porch. The man pulled on her friend’s door and was trying to gain access to the apartment.
The woman living in the unit put a locking bar into place to prevent the man from getting into her apartment, while her friend called the police. The woman told the suspect she was going to call the police and he ran and jumped over the fence, according to the police report.
Police soon received a second call from the security guard at the apartment complex, reporting he received two calls from residents of a suspicious male knocking on doors and asking for a ride, according to police reports.
A woman reported she was approached by the suspect while coming back to her apartment with her boyfriend. The suspect had been trying to get inside when he saw the couple and walked over to her, asking for a cigarette.
When her boyfriend tried to intervene, the suspect tried to hit him on the head with his skateboard. The boyfriend blocked the hit and the suspect punched him several times in the head. Police arrived on the scene, chased the suspect down and handcuffed him, according to police reports.
Officers reported as they were conducting an investigation, a female came up to them and said she was approached by the suspect earlier.
She said he told her he was “high” and asked her if she wanted to go to a party and drink with him. After she said no, the suspect reached around and pulled her up against him and tried to press into her and kiss her mouth. The woman yelled at him to stop and was able to pull away. She reported he then asked her for a threesome and when she declined he walked away and hid in nearby bushes, according to police reports.
Another woman stated she had just finished parking her car when the suspect approached her and asked for a ride, saying he was leaving for Los Angeles the next day. She told him no and he followed her to her apartment and continued to ask for a ride. The woman told police she was scared and managed to get away from him, get inside her apartment and lock the door.
Police reported all of the involved parties were individually shown a picture of the suspect and positively identified him. They are currently running a criminal background check on the man.
