Sept. 3
Massage tips: Just after 2 p.m., someone called to report that they felt “intimidated” by a massage therapist when she was paying for a massage she received at Ideal Massage. She received a text from a masseuse asking her to pay $60 plus a $2 fee for a massage she received using her credit card. The employee then asked for a tip and she offered $5. The employee then reportedly said, “no, ten dollars” and proceeded to enter that as the tip. Police responded to the business, but the named employee was not there.
Knife threat: At 3:20 p.m. at Federal Way High School, school security employees witnessed an altercation between two juvenile males during which one took out a “large” knife and threatened the other student with it. A bystander intervened and was able to disarm the juvenile. The juveniles left before police contacted them.
Gunshots: At 4:52 p.m., residents on the 1300 block of SW 352nd Street called to report gunshots in the neighborhood. Several bullet casings were found in the street at the scene, and witnesses described a drive-by shooting.
Sept. 4
Glasses: At 4:50 a.m., police received reports of a burglary at Lenscrafters store on 31625 Pacific Highway S. The store’s glass door had been broken and the suspect had fled before stealing multiple glasses frames.
Lost pet tortoise: At 10:57 a.m., a citizen whose property line borders the Twin Lakes Golf Course called to report that their pet tortoise had escaped their enclosure and had gotten lost in the golf course. The tortoise owners said they heard golfers find the tortoise and overheard them talking about keeping it. They said the golf course would not assist in helping find the tortoise.
Male stranger: At 4 p.m. near 1000 SW Campus Drive, police received reports of a male stranger trying to get a minor child to go with him.
Sept. 5
Wig theft: At 12:39 p.m., police received reports of a theft from a wig store on 2122 S. 314th St. It was reported that a woman took a wig off a sales rack and left the store. She fled when confronted by employees.
Sept. 6
Man throws rock: At 5:10 p.m., police received reports that a man had thrown a rock at the windshield of a vehicle traveling on S. 325th St. The man who threw the rock ran into a greenbelt and was not located. The vehicle was damaged, but no one was injured.
Sept. 7
Firearm found: At 1:21 a.m. near 34007 Hoyt Road SW, police responded to reports from a repo agent that a firearm had been found in a repossessed vehicle, and that the vehicle had three bullet holes on the passenger side. The firearm did not have a serial number and was booked into evidence.
Gas pumps: At 2:36 p.m. near 1095 South 324th Place, police responded to a call from a parks employee that a fence had been cut. Upon further investigation, the found that two Honda gas pumps worth $350 each were stolen.
