King County Public Health inspectors closed Federal Way’s Pho Tai last week for health code violations.

Located at 31513 Pacific Highway S., Pho Tai was closed at 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 after inspectors discovered employees failed to follow proper cooling procedures, specifically their cooked chicken, and they failed to correct repeated critical violations for a third time.

The repeated violations included inadequate room temperature storage of potentially hazardous foods, improper cooling of foods and the dishwasher was found to have an inadequate level of sanitizer chemical.

Pho Tai will be reopened once the inspector confirms the issues have been resolved.
