Sept. 11

There were zero vehicle thefts, and four vehicles were recovered on this day.

Axe burglars: At about 2:30 a.m., in the 1000 block of S. 320th St., a witness reported that they saw three males forcibly enter the Onuri Pharmacy with an axe. The witness reported that the males exited the store and fled in a black SUV parked across the street.

Passed out at an intersection: At about 8:15 a.m. in the 33000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., an officer observed a male passed out at the light of an intersection. Upon contact, it was determined that the male was driving under the influence. The male voluntarily did a field sobriety test and provided a breath sample, which was over twice the legal limit. The male was booked into SCORE jail.

Problems behind store: At about 4:10 p.m. in the 31000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., the victim called to report a male who was apparently attacking an unidentified female behind Batteries Plus Bulbs. The victim confronted the male and was met with verbal threats that caused the victim to display a boxcutter-style pocket knife to defend himself from a potential assault and call the police after locking the store. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked into SCORE jail.

Sept. 12

There were two vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Woman finds gun in her car: At about noon in the 2600 block of SW 327th St., a woman told police that she was cleaning her car when she found a handgun under her right passenger seat. She said no one else had used her vehicle recently, but it was stolen in 2019. Officers found the handgun, which was loaded, then cleared it and put it into evidence. The gun was not found to be used in any crimes.

Sept. 13

There were two vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

Keys in car while running: At about 7:15 a.m. in the 31000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., the victim told police that he went inside a gas station to pay for gas while he left his vehicle running at the pump. Upon return, his car was stolen. Efforts to find the vehicle were unsuccessful.

Strong-arm robbery: At about 11:30 a.m. in the 35000 block of 16th Ave. S., there was a report of a strong-arm robbery. No other details were provided.

Road rager flashes gun: At about 5:15 p.m. in the 37000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., officers responded to a road rage incident where the victim was threatened with a handgun. The suspect was gone in a vehicle prior to police arrival.

Business robbed: At about 8:40 p.m. in the 32000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., there was a report of a robbery with a firearm at a business. No other details were provided.

Sept. 14

There were two vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

Driver crashes into pole: At about 2:35 a.m. in the 1300 block of Norpoint Way NE, officers observed a stolen vehicle traveling westbound on SW 320th Street. A vehicle pursuit was initiated, during which the stolen vehicle crashed into a telephone pole. The driver and passenger fled the vehicle on foot, and a short foot pursuit was conducted. The driver of the vehicle was later taken into custody after a brief K9 track.

Gaggle of transients: At about 10:10 a.m. in the 1400 block of S. 332nd Pl., officers were flagged down for a small brush fire. Officers found a fire that was about two feet in diameter. The passerby had no info other than a gaggle of transients had fled the area. No structures or persons injured.

Man threatens to shoot up schools: At about 1:20 p.m., officers responded to a male who was making statements about shooting up schools and people needing to remember his face. Upon contact, the male began reaching into his pockets and walking away. The male resisted detainment. Probable cause was established for obstruction, for which he was booked.

Business robbed: At about 9:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of S. 320th St., there was a report of a business being robbed with a firearm. No further details were provided.

Sept. 15

There were zero vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

Burglar scared off: At about 8 a.m. in the 30000 block of Military Rd. S., officers met with employees who found that someone had dug under a fence to gain entry to a secure lot. Video showed that the alarm scared off the burglar.

Shoplifter threatens employee: At about 4:30 p.m. in the 32000 block of 11th Place S., officers responded to the location for threats with a knife. The victim followed a shoplifter from the store to the listed location and began photographing him. The suspect pulled a pocket knife and threatened to stab her. Probable cause was established for felony harassment. A K9 track was conducted, but the suspect was not located.

Sept. 16

There were two vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Illegal discharge: At about 3:40 a.m. in the 32000 block of 46th Place SW, officers were dispatched to an illegal discharge. An area check was conducted and two shell casings were located in the roadway and collected for evidence.

Assault with a firearm: At about 10:50 a.m. in the 35000 block of 25th Ave. SW, there was a report of an assault with a firearm. No further details were provided.

Apparent juveniles rob store: At about 9:40 p.m. in the 32000 block of 1st Ave. S., officers responded to a call of a convenience store robbery at 7-Eleven. Three apparent juvenile males entered the store in all-black clothing and black masks. One juvenile pointed an unknown firearm at the clerk, and the suspects stole cash from the tills. The suspects apparently fled on foot, but were believed to have a getaway car parked nearby. A gold Kia Soul with no license plates was seen fleeing the area immediately after the robbery.

Man assaults employees: At about 7:10 a.m. in the 31000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., officers responded to an unwanted male who assaulted employees.

Assault with a firearm: At about 11:40 p.m. in the 30000 block of 24th Ave. SW, there was a report of an assault with a firearm. No further details were provided.
