Performing arts center

State Sen. Tracey J. Eide, D-Federal Way, has successfully secured $500,000 in funding toward a Federal Way performing arts center. The funding is included in the state’s 2008 Supplemental Capital Budget.

“A new performing arts center is critical to the continued economic and civic development of Federal Way. During this year of frugal state spending, I’m very pleased that we were able to make a commitment to the City of Federal Way for the project,” Eide said.

It has yet to be determined the exact use for the money and the precise cost to build a performing arts center in Federal Way.

Teachers sought

The Home/Hospital Tutoring Program is seeking certified teachers to tutor students with medical issues who are unable to attend school. Teachers will be paid $26.85 per hour. Talent show

Dental coverage

The King County Kids Program provides dental care coverage at no cost to children who qualify. Children who are under 20 years of age, don’t have dental coverage and come from low income families could qualify. For more information, visit www.kckidsdental.org.

Truman High School information
