Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus will visit The Commons mall, 1928 S. Commons, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 6. Federal Way police and the Washington State Patrol will also be in attendance to collect donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run Campaign for Special Olympics Washington.
Photos with Santa and an opportunity to view police vehicles and motorcycles will be offered in the southwest corner of the Sears parking lot, near South 324th Street and Pacific Highway South. A homemade sleigh, donated by Burien resident Dave Eady, will serve as a prop for the photographs.
A complimentary chair massage by Touch of Grace Massage will be offered. All proceeds from the Santa Photos will be donated directly to local Special Olympics programs. Donors will receive a copy of their Santa photo sent to an email address of their choice.
Sound Credit Union open
Sound Credit Union opened its newest branch in Federal Way on Nov. 10. The branch is located at 31908 21st Ave S, across from The Commons at Federal Way. This is Sound’s 11th full-service branch and includes drive-thru banking, drive-up ATM, safe deposit boxes and Saturday hours. Amy Allen has joined Sound Credit Union as the new Federal Way branch manager. Allen has over 15 years of banking/financial industry experience, including her most recent roles as office supervisor at Horizon Bank and operations supervisor at Washington Mutual.
Night at the Museum
The students of the School of Global Leadership and Economics at Todd Beamer High School will be holding their annual Night at the Museum. Students will be showcasing their projects on the integration of math, science, technology and society. The even twill take place from 6-8 p.m. on Dec. 16.
