Hotel bandit pleads guilty to six Pierce County robberies

Omari Moore, dubbed the ‘hotel bandit,’ was sentenced to seven years in prison Jan. 13.

Moore is accused of robbing 10 Pierce and King County hotels in the months of September through October of last year. He was charged with six counts of second-degree robbery for the Pierce County incidents and pleaded guilty in all cases.

He is expected to face charges for the four robberies he is accused of committing in King County. Two of those took place in Federal Way.

Each time Moore struck, he wore gloves and jumped over the hotel counter in his attempt to rob the establishment. He also wore a fur-lined coat during the incidents.

Moore was featured in a Crime Stoppers bulletin and a tip led Tacoma police to him Oct. 29.
