Home invasion nets almost $19,000 | Crime blotter

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• At 9:35 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 2400 block of South Star Lake Road, police were called to investigate a home invasion and robbery where the suspects demanded money. One suspect hit the victim. The victim then retrieved $17,800 hidden in a jacket pocket and gave the suspects $1,100 located in her purse. A K-9 track failed to find the fled suspects.

• At 12:48 a.m. Oct. 26 in the 2500 block of South 320th Street, police responded to a dispute over alcohol consumption.

• At 8:16 a.m. Oct. 26 in the 33600 block of 38th Avenue South, unknown subjects threw a rock through a sliding glass door, then entered the residence and stole items off the kitchen table. The residents were home.

• At 4:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at 34520 16th Ave. S., a woman reportedly stole merchandise from Wal-Mart and refused to return the stolen goods she was wearing. She then assaulted a police officer.

• At 5:26 p.m. Oct. 26 at the South 320th Street Interstate 5 off-ramp, a suspicious circumstance took place. A vehicle was stopped by police. The driver did not have identification and was unable to spell her middle or last name. She also provided the wrong Social Security number. A co-worker ultimately brought her a copy of her driver’s license.

• At 9:32 p.m. Oct. 26 at 31621 23rd Ave. S., a subject was arrested after urinating on the transit center’s platform and then refusing to leave the premises.

• At 8:28 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 2500 block of South 286th Street, a victim’s apartment was broken into. Two one-gallon jugs of milk were stolen.

• At 6:20 a.m. Oct. 25 at 900 S. 348th St., a motorist drove into a utility pole, then fled the scene. The person was later found and arrested for driving on a suspended license.

• At 8:41 p.m. Oct. 25 at 2012 S. 320th St., a woman was robbed of her backpack while she walked on the sidewalk.
