Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:
• Found gun: At 2:23 p.m. Nov. 27 at 2410 S. 312th St., a subject found a gun wrapped in a plastic bag near a trash bin in Steel Lake Park. Records show the gun belongs to a Seattle resident. It did not appear to have been used recently.
• Animal complaint: At 1:40 p.m. Nov. 22 in the 30700 block of 12th Place Southwest, police responded to an animal complaint. Two dogs were found in a backyard with no food, no water and minimum shelter. They were taken into protective custody.
• Reckless driving: At 12:08 p.m. Nov. 22 at 1701 S. Commons, a suspect was arrested for reckless driving after the motorist was caught doing “donuts” in the mall’s parking lot.
• Assault: At 11:38 p.m. Nov. 23 in the 33900 block of 19th Avenue Southwest, a victim was walking home when he was approached by five subjects. One suspect punched the victim in his face and stole the victim’s phone and wallet.
• Suspicious circumstance: At 6:23 p.m. Nov. 23 at 2000 S. Commons, a suspect took graphic books into a men’s bathroom at a bookstore and remained inside the restroom for almost an hour. The man was trespassed from the premises.
• Strangulation: At 3:16 p.m. Nov. 23 in the 31600 block of 20th Avenue South, a suspect was arrested for domestic violence in relation to a strangulation incident.
• Domestic violence: At 1:31 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 35400 block of 25th Avenue Southwest, a victim reported that her husband hit her in the face three or four times during a dispute.
• DUI: At 3:22 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 1800 block of Southwest 320th Street, a suspect was pulled over for a traffic infraction. The driver was issued a DUI.
• Suspicious person: At 10:21 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 32700 block of 19th Place South, a victim reported finding an unknown man inside his vehicle. The victim asked the suspect to exit the vehicle and he complied. The suspect then fled the area.
