Federal Way police are investigating an incident outside the Commons Mall near Panera Bread Sunday evening during which gunshots were fired into the air.

According to a Federal Way Police Department blotter report, at 7:04 p.m. observers witnessed two males arguing outside the Commons Mall, and one discharged a handgun before pointing it at the other male. Both the suspect and victim left before police arrived, and police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said no injuries were reported. Police spoke with multiple witnesses, who provided statements. Schrock said police searched for the suspect but could not find him. She said police could not verify that any of the involved parties entered the Commons Mall or the nearby movie theater.
