FRED is gearing up for a busy summer of visiting six apartment complexes: Cove East, Parkway, Club Palisades, Camelot Square, View at the Lake and Greystone Meadows.

More than 56 percent of Federal Way Public Schools’ students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Those students are especially vulnerable to summertime learning losses. They are also are at higher risk of not getting adequate amounts of physical activity and healthy, balanced meals during the summer months.

FRED is a project of Federal Way Public Schools and community partners, including The City of Federal Way, AmeriCorps, King County Library System, AWE and the USDA.
