Federal Way High School’s Air Force JROTC drill teams competed at the subject championship March 17 at Marysville-Pilchuck High School. The top three teams in each category, from each of the four divisions, competed. Federal Way sent all of its teams, but just the Color Guard Team Two and Cadets Patricia Arango-Lopez and Elian Raspa placed.

Color Guard Team Two placed 5th of 12 teams, and the top teams from each division were represented.

Arango-Lopez took top honors in the Unarmed Drill Down category — a FWHS first at the championship level. Raspa took top honors in the Armed Drill Down category — another FWHS first at the championship level.
