Federal Way teacher assaulted by 19-year-old son

• At 3:49 p.m. Sept. 19 at 2626 S.W. 327th St., officers were dispatched to Olympic View Elementary School, where a female teacher was assaulted by her 19-year-old son. The man threatened to kill the woman and prevented her from leaving by repeatedly pushing her.

• At 9:22 p.m. Sept. 19 at 2501 Gateway Center Place, a manager reported an employee stole about $280 from a cash register.

• At 8:19 a.m Sept. 19 at 2501 Gateway Center Place, a complainant reported continuous illegal dumping of trash and construction materials. The victim captured the offense on video and provided it as evidence.

• At 4:08 p.m. Sept. 20 in the 28600 block of Pacific Highway South, a female victim reported her girlfriend punched her in the face. The girlfriend admitted to the assault and was taken to jail.

• At 2:04 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 33600 block of 39th Avenue Southwest, a male was found unconscious on the ground in a backyard. The male appeared to have fallen from a 10-foot-tall balcony. He hit his head on the cement below the balcony and was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Another person stated he may be suicidal.

• At 1:25 p.m. Sept. 21 at 30400 Military Road S., police were dispatched to a single car collision. The suspect appeared intoxicated and was taken to St. Francis Hospital for a mandatory blood draw. During the process, the suspect assaulted five police officers and one medical technician.

• At 11:34 a.m. Sept. 21 at 35631 13th Ave. S.W., police responded to the location, where a rifle was found in an unmarked duffle bag in the residence’s front yard. The rifle was run through the Washington Crime Information Center and National Crime Information Center and returned clean.

• At 1:19 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 32700 block of 19th Place South, a person was taken into custody. An officer had reason to believe the person was suffering from a mental disorder and was a threat to herself and others.

• At 3:01 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 30500 block of 4th Avenue Southwest, a female reported receiving unwanted phone calls from older men on her cell phone. The victim believed it may be a prank by a former friend. Police advised her to not answer calls from unknown numbers and to have her cell phone number changed.

• At 6:03 p.m. Sept. 21 at 1900 S. 314th St., a mother and her two juvenile daughters were detained for shoplifting.

• At 11:47 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 3000 block of South 288th Street, police were called to the scene of a possible child abuse case. An anonymous caller reported seeing a person by the name of “Jesus” hitting and choking a young male child outside the home. Police awoke the home’s residents and spoke with a woman who said the only person by that name was a male over 80 years old. No crime was identified.
