The Boys & Girls Club of Federal Way has selected the “2015 Youth of the Year.”

This year, Kenny Tyson, of Federal Way High School is the EX3 Ron Sandwith Teen Center’s Youth of the Year.

He will participate in state competition, and if selected as the state Youth of the Year, would receive a $5,000 scholarship and advance to regional competition.

Club members who earn this title embody the values of leadership service; academic excellence; and healthy lifestyles. They exemplify the critical impact that Boys & Girls Clubs have on the lives of young people.

As a student-scholar, Tyson’s determination and grit has enabled him to achieve success and continue to pursue his aspirations for life beyond high school.
