Mirror staff reports:
The Federal Way Community Caregiving Network will host the 13th Annual Souper Supper from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25 at Steel Lake Presbyterian Church, 1829 S. 308th St.
This is the caregiving network’s main fundraiser. Proceeds support the Emergency Services and Meals Programs, which assist low-income people with food, rent, limited motel stays, gasoline and other basic needs for daily survival.
The network’s goal is to help people stay in their homes, stave off hunger and provide some of the necessities that most people take for granted.
Last year’s Souper Supper raised nearly $17,000. At least 12 varieties of restaurant and caterer’s signature soups are served, and 50 raffle prizes will be available. Cornbread, rolls, beverages and desserts are also provided. Attendees may keep their bowls.
Cost is $25 per person. Table sponsorships are available. Call Jackie Blair at (253) 952-6988 or Linda Murphy (253) 297-1564.
