Federal Way schools to host Family and Community Partnership Summit Oct. 4

Families and community members are invited to Federal Way Public Schools’ third annual Family and Community Partnership Summit from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4 at Thomas Jefferson High School.

Families and community members are invited to Federal Way Public Schools’ third annual Family and Community Partnership Summit from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4 at Thomas Jefferson High School.

The free event will feature food, childcare, information about school and community resources and valuable workshops for parents. Workshop topics will include preparing your child for college, understanding the IEP process, ELL supports and policies, checking grades online, Common Core and more.

The summit will be sponsored by the Family and Community Partnership Office, which supports student success through family engagement and community partnerships. The workshops and resources will be led by a variety of staff, parent and community partners.
