Thanks to outstanding and ongoing improvement in reading and math, TAF (Technology Access Foundation) Academy was named a School of Distinction of 2014, the Puget Sound Educational Service District recently announced.
This marks the third consecutive year that TAF Academy has earned the honor.
The School of Distinction award is given by the Center for Educational Effectiveness in partnership with the Association of Educational Service Districts, the Association of Washington School Principals, Washington Association of School Administrators, Washington State School Directors’ Association, and the Washington State Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
School of Distinction awards recognize the top 5 percent of schools in our state that have made sustained improvements in reading and math.
Results are calculated using state test scores. TAF Academy was among 101 schools throughout the state to receive the award this year, 50 of which are part of the Puget Sound Educational Service District.
“The School of Distinction award is reflective of our dedicated teachers, students and parents,” said TAF Academy Principal Paul Tytler. “TAF Academy has created a community of learners striving to do their best with the support of teachers and parents. We are proud of being recognized for the third year in a row. TAF Academy students are well deserving of this award.”
