Based on five key factors, including likelihood of being a victim of violent crime and average commute time, a recent study by CreditDonkey.com found Federal Way is the ninth most stressful city in Washington.

creditdonkey.com, a credit card comparison and financial education website, also used average number of hours worked weekly, percentage of divorce and percentage of income spent on housing to determine which cities in Washington were most stressful to live in.

The study found that in Federal Way, one in 311 residents are likely to be a victim of violent crime; average commute time is just less than 30 minutes each way; the average work week is 37.7 hours; 10.6 percent of males and 13.9 percent of females are divorced; and 25.9 percent of income is spend on housing.
