Federal Way police are actively investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday.

At 11:30 p.m., officers were called to 29800 Pacific Highway S. where they found a woman from Spokane with a single gunshot wound to her calf. Federal Way police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said she was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, and that a preliminary investigation revaled this was a domestic violence case, as the woman’s ex-boyfriend is a suspect.
