Federal Way police arrested a teenage girl after she allegedly stabbed her father with scissors on Thursday.

Police responded to the call at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Apartments, located at 32131 46th Place SW.

The father suffered a puncture wound under his jaw and medics treated him on scene, said Cathy Schrock, police spokesperson.

Police transported the girl to the Federal Way Police Department.

It is unclear what caused her to stab her father, or what condition he is in.
