Federal Way police report that three suspects have been arrested in connection with a recent string of armed robberies.

Two convenience stores in Federal Way were robbed at gunpoint in the early morning hours of Sept. 19.

Surveillance video showed two suspects holding up the Chevron gas station, 1712 S. 356th St., and then the 7-Eleven, 28719 Military Road S. One photo shows a robber holding his gun to a clerk’s head.

In the first robbery, the suspects stole cash and cigarettes, but came up empty handed in the second robbery. The store clerk at the 7-Eleven was violently assaulted, police said, and a suspect’s gun was discharged in the incident.

About 30 minutes later, another robbery took place in Renton. Federal Way police report that two suspects and a vehicle were identified.

An adult male and adult female were arrested Friday at a residence in south Seattle, according to police. A third suspect was arrested at a residence in Renton, following surveillance and a search warrant.

The investigation is ongoing to determine how many robberies are linked to these suspects, whose names have not been released. Kent police are investigating a pair of robberies that may be related.

Federal Way police credit media coverage and collaboration with local law enforcement agencies for the arrest of these suspects.
