Federal Way police are looking for a suspect who broke into Multi-Service Center’s Education and Employment van over the weekend.

The suspect “completely destroyed” the ignition while trying to steal the vehicle and broke the window as well, said Multi-Service Center spokeswoman Sarah Villian.

Villian said the nonprofit’s van is used to transport students to their GED test sites and to take students to appointments for counseling, housing and other needs.

Insurance will cover a portion of the costs, but Multi-Service Center is looking for donations to cover the rest. They can be made online at mschelps.org/donate/. Once there, select “Education Program” and type “van” in the notes section.
