Decatur High School senior Zechariah Siva, football, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Nov. 19.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: My favorite class is Incubator Entrepreneurship with Mr. Forbes.
Q: What additional activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: I enjoy sleeping.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: James Seumaalaa and Matt Vaeena.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to your sport?
A: “Nobody’s going to feel sorry for you.”
Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-game meal?
A: My pre-game ritual consisted of a gallon of water and a Pedialyte, and listening to music. My post-game meal is IHOP.
Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?
A: “Mind Playing Tricks on Me,” by Geto Boys.
From the sidelines: DHS senior Zechariah Siva completed his fourth season as a offensive and defensive line starter in Decatur’s football program. Last season, he was selected by the NPSL coaches on their All-League Teams. He was a unanimous decision to represent Decatur’s team in the role of captain based on his leadership on and off the field. Zechariah will also be a four-year participant in Boys Wrestling and Track & Field. Zechariah has challenged himself with a college prep schedule including Running Start courses.
