Federal Way Mayor Jim Ferrell and council members presented South King Fire and Rescue Assistant Chief Gordon “Gordie” Olson with a certificate of recognition on Tuesday for his years of service to the community.
Olson was recently selected as the new fire chief in Thornton, Colorado.
