A Federal Way man who drowned while swimming with his family at Fivemile Lake Park in Auburn has been identified.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as 21-year-old Kyle Sacha and ruled his death an accident.

King County Sheriff’s Office deputies said Sacha and a younger relative swam across the lake toward a private dock. While he helped his relative safely to shore, Sacha went underwater, police said. He was not wearing a life vest.

His relatives called for help and a search and rescue team found him over half an hour after he went underwater.
