The lockdown at Federal Way High School has been lifted.
The school went under an internal lockdown because a student had made a threat to individual or multiple students.
However, Federal Way police recently found the student at the Federal Way Transit Center and took him/her into custody.
Deb Stenberg with Federal Way Public Schools said school officials learned of the threat at 10:04 a.m.
She said the person who made the threat was believed to be on campus and police had to form a perimeter as they searched the school.
No injuries were reported.
In the event of a future lockdown, parents and guardians are urged to receive updates through the district’s automated call-out system or through www.fwps.org.
