The Federal Way Public Schools district offices and schools will be closed on the morning of Sept. 2 while district employees attend a back-to-school rally from 9–11 a.m.

Parents and community members should plan on conducting district-related business on the afternoon of Sept. 2 or on any other weekday during the district’s regular business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please check the individual schools’ websites for their regular office hours.

Federal Way Public Schools employees will hear a “rousing and inspirational” welcome back from Interim Superintendent Sally McLean and guest speaker Dr. Edwin Javius before getting started on their normal data day activities. The first day of classes in Federal Way is Wednesday, Sept. 3.
