The following is a sample from the Federal Way Police public information log:

• At 6:24 a.m. July 16 officers responded to a malicious mischief call at 32622 16th Ct. S.W. The victim stated that four vehicles were damaged. One tire on each vehicle was cut. The victim suspected a coworker. No fingerprints were located.

• At 10:05 a.m. July 16 officers responded to a welfare check request on two children who were possibly living in a home where there were weapons and drugs. Officers found the home clean, food in the refrigerator and the children apparently nourished.

• At 11:23 a.m. July 16 officers responded to the Chevron station at 34727 Pacific Highway South. The manager of the store reported that an internal investigation revealed two employees used a customer’s credit card to charge $630 while working in the store.

• At 2:04 p.m. July 16 officers responded to a suicide on 20th Avenue Southwest. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The King County Medical Examiner responded and took the body.

• At 4:00 p.m. July 16 officers responded to 33645 20th Ave. S. for a fraud complaint. The financial officer from the Christian Faith Center reported receiving an email from an unknown suspect impersonating the pastor.

• At 8 p.m. July 16 a victim reported that someone put sugar in the gas tank of his or her vehicle while it was parked at 2134 S. 295th Pl.

• At 9:25 p.m. July 16 a vehicle was stolen from the Christian Faith Center parking lot, 33645 20th Ave. S. The victim stated that the vehicle was a work van and contained expensive tools and miscellaneous items.

• At 2:39 p.m. July 15 a resident at 1082 S. 316th St. reported finding residue from three thrown eggs on the back door and patio of the home. The eggs appeared to have come from the direction of a group home nearby.

• At 1:11 p.m. July 15 officers responded to a reported vandalism at 1525 S.W. Dash Point Road. Someone took a rock from the rockery in front of a church and used it to brake a church sign.

• At 7:04 p.m. July 15 officers responded to a report of an assault at 30800 Pacific Highway South. A witness called 911. Officers who arrived found a woman with a large red welt on the left side of her head. She refused to name the suspect and only gave her name on condition that the police allowed her to leave the scene. Officers were unable to locate the male suspect.

• At 1:59 p.m. July 15 officers responded to reports of a rape on Enchanted Parkway. There was minimal suspect information.

At 8:23 a.m. July 14 officers responded to reports that someone stole a catalytic converter out of a vehicle at 31523 Pacific Highway South.
