Boy Scouts from Federal Way Troop 361, Aidan and Shaun McCartney, brought a basket filled with cookies, banana bread and thank you notes to South King Fire and Rescue firefighters in recognition of National Thank You Day on May 19 to honor first responders.
Troop 361 is lead by scoutmaster David Hill.
Documents state that evidence showed he was the driver, but he blamed the passenger.
Funds resulted from a lawsuit against Federal Way Discount Guns for illegally selling high-capacity magazines.
His DNA was found in the vehicle, and he is thought to be the driver.
