The city of Federal Way is accepting applications for five seats on the 2016-2018 Steel Lake Management District Advisory Committee.

Committee membership is limited to those who own property or represent government bodies that own property in the district.

Membership is based on the types of parcels around the lake and is comprised as follows: four seats for single family and vacant parcel property owners, one seat for multi-family parcels, one seat for city of Federal Way Parks Department, and one seat for the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.

The Federal Way City Council will conduct interviews and appoint four residents to serve two-year terms on the committee. For an application, contact the City Clerk’s office at 253-835-2540.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2016.
