Depressed, pregnant woman missing: At 8 a.m. on Sept. 26 in the 20 block of South 341st Place, a woman reported her 19-year-old pregnant daughter as missing. She told police her daughter left home on Sept. 22 and hadn’t been heard from since. The 19-year-old is prescribed medication for anxiety and depression after a recent sexual assault, the mother said.

Man sexually assaults boy at party: At 3:52 p.m. on Sept. 26 in the 4000 block of Southwest 312th Street, a woman called 911 to report her son was harassed. Police spoke to the boy, who told them he was at a party at Bethel Christian Center when a Hispanic man in his 40s asked him to come into the bathroom stall with him. The boy complied and, while inside, the man allegedly grabbed the boy’s “clothed private areas.” Police questioned him further and the boy refused to provide more information or to prosecute the man. The mother called back later to provide the suspect’s information. According to the police report, police deemed the case closed.

Shoplifter found hiding at McDonald’s: At 5:11 p.m. on Sept. 26 at 2101 S. Commons, a man with $85 of stolen merchandise from Kohl’s was found hiding in the men’s restroom at McDonald’s. Police searched the man during his arrest and found drug paraphernalia thought to be used for smoking heroin.

Marijuana mail service: At 4:24 p.m. on Sept. 26 in the 3400 block of 9th Avenue South, a male called police to report his ex-girlfriend is mailing ounces of marijuana to Oklahoma through the postal service.

Customer flashes grocer: At 2:45 a.m. on Sept. 27 at 1207 S. 320th St., a man was arrested for disorderly conduct after pulling down his pants and exposing his genitals to a Safeway employee. The man had entered the store and was told to leave. He exited the store but flashed the employee before leaving the premises.

High school student found with marijuana: At 10:47 a.m. on Sept. 27 at 4248 S. 288th St. in Auburn, Thomas Jefferson High School officials notified the school resource officer that a student was in possession of marijuana. Officials conducted an administrative search on the student and found “a small bud of marijuana” in the student’s backpack. The school decided not to press charges but planned on disciplining the student. The marijuana was booked into evidence for destruction.

Dog kills chickens: At 11:35 p.m. on Sept. 27 in the 1000 block of South 317th Street, police impounded a dog at the Tacoma Humane Society until its owner could be identified. The husky was declared dangerous after it attacked and killed five chickens.

Argument leads to drug paraphernalia arrest: At 7:32 p.m. on Sept. 28 in the 1900 block of South 314th Street, a woman was arrested for a warrant and possession of heroin but was released after the female section of a Kent jail was deemed full. Police were initially called to a residence for a domestic violence call that the woman claimed was “just an argument.” The man was gone when police arrived. Police gave the woman a domestic violence pamphlet and ran her name, which turned up a Kent warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. After she was taken into custody, police found more drug paraphernalia and suspected heroin.

Baristas worried about recent murder: At 10:12 p.m. on Sept. 28 at 4627 SW 320th St., the manager of Big Foot Java told police that, since the Sept. 26 homicide, her staff has been questioned by the victim’s family and friends who have asked to view video footage from the area the night of the murder. She told police she’s concerned for the safety issues of her employees. Police suggested her staff take extra precautions and informed her of extra patrol in the area.

Woman brandishes gun: At 3:11 p.m. on Sept. 29 in the 100 block of South 331st Place, multiple victims reported to police that an unknown white female brandished a silver pistol as she rode past them in the passenger seat of a tan-colored four-door sedan.

Victims shot at in car: At 4:05 a.m. on Sept. 30 in the 34700 block of Pacific Highway South, an unknown suspect fired several rounds at two victims while they were sitting in their parked cars. After the suspect fled the scene, police could not locate them. The victims didn’t sustain any injuries and refused to cooperate with police.

Man punched by teenager: At 1:16 a.m. on Oct. 1 in the 2000 block of Southwest 320th Street, a male was walking in The Commons mall parking lot when he was punched in the face several times by a 16-year-old boy. Before the assault, the boy asked the victim what he was staring at. He could not identify the suspect and police couldn’t locate him.

Farmers Market vendor robbed: At 3:51 p.m. on Oct. 1 at 1928 S. Commons, a vendor at the Federal Way Farmers Market noticed her cash box under the table was stolen. She told police she had walked away from her booth for about one minute. Other vendors searched the parking lot and found the box discarded near the south side of Target. The money, estimated to be about $500, was missing. No one witnessed the suspect who stole the cash box.

Man concerned with mental health goes to hospital: At 3:27 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the 3000 block of 11th Place South, a male was voluntarily transported to St. Francis Hospital for a mental health evaluation due to suicidal thoughts. His mother told police that he had been suffering from an “undiagnosed but increasingly serious” mental health issue. He had threatened to kill himself and his mother, and he had previously cut his arms and assaulted his mom. Police told his mother to seek a court order against him and remove him from her home.

Microwave explodes: At 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the 36000 block of 8th Avenue Southwest, neighbors reported a loud explosion. Police found a damaged microwave on a sidewalk with flash powder from a large commercial firework inside of it. No one was seen in the area and no other property was damaged.

Woman steals alcohol: At 9:38 p.m. on Oct. 1 at 32095 Pacific Highway South, a woman entered Total Wine and More, grabbed and hid a bottle of vodka, and left the store without paying for it. When confronted by employees, she became belligerent and left with the bottle.

Man arrested for DUI, crashing into pole: At 8:09 a.m. on Oct. 2 in the 100 block of Southwest Dash Point Road, a driver was arrested for driving under the influence after police discovered he crashed into a pole.

‘ISIS’ graffiti reported: At 3:03 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the 1700 block of Southwest 348th Street, an anonymous person reported graffiti on a street that read “ISIS.” Police checked the location, where a boy on his bicycle said it had been there about one week. The officer wasn’t able to locate witnesses. He took photos and requested the Public Works Department to remove the graffiti.
