Gusts of wind led to a downed tree along 1st Avenue South in Federal Way on April 4. The road is reopened.
A section of the road between South 312th Street and South 320th Street was closed for a few hours. Crews worked to remove the tree, which came to rest on top of nearby powerlines, from the roadway.
About 240 people are without power in the area near the downed tree, according to Puget Sound Energy (PSE). The estimated restoration time is 8:30 p.m., according to PSE’s outage map.
As of Monday afternoon in the Puget Sound region, there are about 170 power outages impacting over 10,000 people, according to PSE.
There were no injuries as a result of the fallen tree.
