A fallen power line at the intersection of Southwest Dash Point Road and Southwest 312th Street is to blame for a power outage that left 1,500 homes without power Thursday.

Puget Sound Energy and King County crews under contract with the City of Federal Way are working to restore power. The fallen line also darkened the intersection. Damage to the Dash Point Road and 312th Street intersection was extensive and may take up to a day to address. A second intersection at 21st Avenue Southwest and Southwest Dash Point Road was also damaged and the traffic signal darkened by the fallen line.
