Puget Sound Blood Center will open extra donor centers over the Labor Day weekend. Blood donations are typically down during the summer and the blood center hopes to avoid shortages.

Federal Way’s location, 1414 S. 324th St., Suite B101, will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. The center is regularly open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
