The Kiwanis Club of Greater Federal Way has a tradition of giving an “Everyday Hero” award to local individuals who stand out through actions and activities that support the children of our community.

Valhalla Elementary School principal James Crawford and family liaison Elizabeth Bagnell care deeply about children, childhood education and student success in school. The children in their care are the future leaders of our country, and both Crawford and Bagnell play a major role in their success.

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Federal Way is very proud that Crawford and Bagnell support two Kiwanis Programs in their school: BUG, or “Bring Up Grades,” and Read Around the World. Crawford and Bagnell absolutely meet the requirements for the “Everyday Hero” award!
