Oct. 9

There were three vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

Gas station robbery: At about 4:30 a.m. in the 33000 block of 1st Way S., officers responded to reports of an armed robbery that occurred five minutes before. As officers were en route, a company with a tracker hidden in the cash stated that the tracker was last seen on I-5. Officers found probable cause for robbery.

Delivery vehicle stolen: At about 7:10 a.m. in the 27000 block of 24th Ave. S., a driver was delivering packages when he exited his vehicle and left the doors locked, with a keyfob on his person, to deliver a package. When he returned to the vehicle, the owner observed two to three subjects get in his vehicle and drive off. There is no suspect information. The vehicle was found in Des Moines later the same day with minimal damage and was returned to the owner.

White substance: At about 3 p.m. in the 900 block of S. 348th St., a manager at a business reported that a baggy with a suspicious white powder was found on the floor of the employee break room. No information to determine the owner of the baggy. As suspected narcotics, the baggy was booked into evidence to be destroyed.

Eluding police: At about 2:45 p.m. in the 20000 block of SW 332nd Place, a man was wanted by the Lakewood Police Department and fled in a vehicle from the Federal Way Police Department. The driver collided with another vehicle and then collided with some shrubbery, fleeing from the vehicle on foot. He was then captured on foot.

Oct. 10

There were zero vehicle thefts, and three vehicles were recovered on this day.

Solar panels smashed: At about 11:15 a.m. in the 35000 block of Enchanted Pkwy. S., two unknown suspects smashed three solar panels on the Federal Way city-owned mobile surveillance trailer at the listed location.

Oct. 11

There was one vehicle theft, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Report of weapon shot: At about 3 a.m. in the 3600 block of SW 325th St., there was a report of a weapon discharge associated with an unoccupied vehicle/building.

Juvenile in a stolen vehicle: At about 7:30 p.m., the reporting party reported that their niece had arrived recently in a stolen vehicle and was high. She said her niece then threatened her with a knife. The niece was then detained without incident.

Employee assaults teen at Wild Waves: At about 11:35 p.m. at Wild Waves Theme and Water Park, a teenage girl informed officers that while she was walking through the haunted house, an employee of Wild Waves placed both of his hands on both sides of her butt and hip area and caressed them. The teenage girl turned around and told the employee to stop. The employee stepped back, but just before the exit, the employee placed one hand on her left hip near her butt again. The teenage girl started crying and ran out of the haunted house. The case was active and forwarded to the prosecutor.

Oct. 12

There were two vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

$50,000 of merchandise stolen: At about 6:55 a.m. in the 31000 block of Pete von Reichbauer Way S., a victim reported that their U-Haul containing $50,000 worth of their business merchandise was stolen.

Man attempts to steal car: At about 3:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of S. Commons, a victim reported returning to his parked vehicle and discovering a male suspect exiting the driver’s seat and apologizing. The suspect then entered a white SUV reported stolen parked behind the victim’s vehicle, driven by another male.

Oct. 13

There was one vehicle theft, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Gun stolen from vehicle: At about 2:30 a.m., there was a report of vehicle prowling, resulting in a stolen wallet and firearm. No suspect information.

Oct. 14

There were five vehicle thefts, and four vehicles were recovered on this day.

Wrong side of the road: At about 2:55 a.m. in the 1000 block of S. 320th St., officers observed a vehicle driving in the wrong direction on a major road. The vehicle yielded to a traffic stop, and the driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Oct. 15

There were five vehicle thefts, and four vehicles were recovered on this day.

Man flashes gun: At about 6:40 p.m. in the 34000 block of 21st Ave. SW, a woman reported that a male wearing a silver puffer jacket displayed a firearm while walking in a parking lot near her vehicle. The female said she was scared and fled the area.

Man arrested after burglary: At about 4:05 p.m. in the 28000 block of Military Rd. S., officers responded to a burglary in progress. One suspect was located nearby, and probable cause was established. He was arrested.

Assault with a firearm: At about 2:35 p.m. in the 28000 block of Military Rd. S., there was a report of an assault with a firearm.
