Drunken man asks police to shoot him | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Strange request: At 3:35 a.m. Feb. 28 on South 348th Street, police located a suspect that called 911 from Denny’s and stated he wished for police to shoot him before hanging up. The man was found stumbling near the street. His speech was slurred.

• Missing money: At 11:28 a.m. Feb. 28 in the 29800 block of 23rd Avenue South, a woman reported $100 went missing from her wallet while she was passed out at her home after a get-together at that location.

• Fraudulent checks: At 5:03 p.m. Feb. 27 at 34008 18th Place S., it was reported that an unknown woman fraudulently cashed checks drawn on a company’s account. The check was in the amount of $1,098.34. An attempt to cash a second check for $944.25 was made the same day.

• Dollar store scam: At 3:55 p.m. Feb. 27 at 31007 Pacific Highway S., it was reported that on two separate occasions, a suspect cashed fraudulent checks at Dollarwise.

• Felony arrest: At 8:40 p.m. Feb. 27 at 28800 Military Road, a driver was arrested during a traffic stop on an outstanding felony warrant.

• Trespass: At 6:32 a.m. Feb. 26 at 2132 S. 320th St., a suspect was trespassed from a business when he ordered food but was unable to pay for it.

• Dangerous MySpace encounter: At 11:14 a.m. Feb. 26 on 3rd Avenue South, a woman reported she was raped by a suspect she met on MySpace. The suspect has since repeatedly threatened her and her family.

• Minor in possession: At 8:09 p.m. Feb. 27 at 1928 S. Commons, two suspects were arrested and issued a minor in possession of alcohol citation. They were also trespassed from the mall.
