Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:
• Huffing leads to crash: At 7:26 p.m. Dec. 20 at 30611 16th Ave. S., a witness called police to report seeing a female sitting in a car huffing fumes from an aerosol can. While police were in route to respond to the call, the female suspect called 911 to report she just woke from a black out and had crashed her car into a fence at Federal Way High School. Police found the vehicle on its side. The suspect admitted to huffing the fumes and taking prescription medications. She was issued a DUI.
• Game leads to fight: At 11:16 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 4900 block of Southwest 319th Lane, two individuals got into a mutual fight during a dominos game. Both participants suffered bite marks.
• Stolen checks: At 8:27 p.m. Dec. 19 at 31625 Pacific Highway South, a suspect attempted to cash two stolen checks.
• Domestic violence: At 11:36 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 2500 block of South 317th Street, a victim was punched twice in the face and strangled by a person he or she used to date.
• Threats: At 5:37 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 1900 block of Southwest 353rd Place, a victim reported receiving threatening text messages.
• Violent ex: At 3:24 a.m. Dec. 20 in the 29600 block of 22nd Ave. S., a victim reported seeing her ex-boyfriend throw a large rock through the window of her house.
• Missing money, manager: At 3:49 p.m. Dec. 19 at 335050 21st Ave. S.W., a newly hired manager was sent to conduct a business’s bank deposit. The manager did not return to work and the deposit was never made.
• Stolen gun: At 10:05 a.m. Dec. 21 at 33120 Pacific Highway South, a gun store employee reported a rifle stolen from the store. The rifle was discovered missing after inventory was taken.
• Smoking leads to arrest: At 6:45 a.m. Dec. 21 at 31621 23rd Ave. S., a subject was contacted by police for smoking at the transit center. Police discovered the person had a warrant for his or her arrest and was in possession of marijuana.
• Rollover accident: At 3:06 a.m. Dec. 21 in the 500 block of South Dash Point Road, officers responded to a rollover accident. The driver was identified as being under age. It appeared as though the driver had consumed alcohol and police arrested him or her.
