Federal Way police officers responded to a domestic violence call Saturday in 1700 block of S. 370th Street, only to uncover “a significant case” once they entered the home.
The victim of the initial crime, whose identity is unknown at this time, was beaten severely by three women at the residence. According to Federal Way police, two adult women and one juvenile female beat the victim about the head and caused “serious injuries.” The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for her injuries. Police indicated the victim’s fiance is related to the three women somehow, and the dispute arose over the victim’s treatment of her fiance.
After the officers cleared the house, several guns, marijuana and extensive high-end electronic items were in view, according to police. Officers obtained a search warrant and conducted a full search of the residence. After their search they discovered several firearms, six or seven flat screen televisions, stereos, computers, approximately a pound of marijuana, and cash exceeding $500,000. Along with these items, several welfare “identification cards” were seized in the police search.
Police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said detectives investigating the case believe the items found in the home may be a result of drug sales and welfare fraud.
Police officials indicated all subjects were booked, and none had outstanding warrants at the time of their arrest.
