The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:
• At 1:12 a.m. Jan. 27, a man reported hearing two or three gunshots outside his home at 229 S.W. 298th Place. He then heard objects that he believed to be bullets hitting the side of the house. When he looked outside, he saw three people in a vehicle leaving. One of them said “Quick, let’s go.”
• At 8:28 a.m. Jan. 27, a man reported that someone put toilet paper and feces on the windshield of his vehicle while it was parked at 30602 Pacific Highway South.
• At 9:47 a.m. Jan. 27, a man reported that another man struck him on the arm with a copper pipe at 31621 23rd Ave. S.
• At 10:45 a.m. Jan. 26, a man reported that he was shot while struggling with a burglar at 1811 S. 308th Court. The man was shot in the buttocks and was scratched on his forehead.
• At 5:05 p.m. Jan. 26, a suspect entered Taco Bell at 1330 S. 348th St. and sat down for 30 minutes. He then pulled a gun and demanded two employees give him the money from two cash registers and a safe at the establishment. Neither victim was harmed and the suspect fled the scene.
• At 10:32 p.m. Jan. 26 at 31003 14th Ave. S., police were called to check on a man who was reportedly suicidal and had taken several pills. Police contacted the man, who informed them that he was not suicidal and had not taken pills. He told police he had told his girlfriend he was suicidal because he was trying to hurt her feelings. Police found no pills on site.
• At 6:14 a.m. Jan. 25, police responded to 1900 S.W. Campus Drive. It was reported that an argument between two friends who carpool to work had broken out over the suspect being more punctual than the victim. The suspect became angry and punched the victim in the mouth, causing a small laceration to the lip. Police issued the suspect a citation.
• At 9:23 a.m. Jan. 25, a suspect was taken into custody for damaging two trucks at Pacific Coast Ford, 33207 Pacific Highway South, by throwing beer and soda cans at them. The damage to the vehicles was estimated at $3,924.
• At 1 p.m. Jan. 25, an employee of Western International Recovery Bureau, 33905 Pacific Highway South, reported that a repossessed vehicle was found to contain a loaded handgun and possible drugs. Police responded and recovered a P-380 semi-automatic gun and three baggies of a white powder substance.
• At 10:11 p.m. Jan. 24, a man reported that a male acquaintance beat him and stole his gold chain at 34814 Pacific Highway South.
• At 10:11 p.m. Jan. 23, a person was stabbed in the stomach by an unknown person at 2955 S. 296th Place.
• At 5 p.m. Jan. 22, a man was arrested after harassing patrons at the King County Library, 848 S. 320th St., and then resisting arrest.
