Megan Haffner of Auburn was recently selected to participate in Nationals’ 2009 Miss Pre-Teen Seattle pageant competition, which takes place Oct. 11.

Megan, 10, is a fifth-grader at Lakeland Elementary School. She will compete for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and gifts. She will compete in the Miss Pre-Teen division in modeling routines that include casual wear and formal wear. She will also interview with the judging panel, and personality is the top aspect that each contestant is judged on during the competition. The winner heads to Orlando, Fla., for the Cities of America National Competition.
