Garbage bag of stolen goods: At about 7:25 a.m. in the 28000 block of Military Road South, two females went into a store and stole a garbage bag full of items from the establishment. They fled in a vehicle that was not located. The case is inactive as the leads have been exhausted.
Bleeding from the head: At about 1:30 a.m. in the 31000 block of 14th Avenue South, officers were called because a male was very intoxicated and lying on the ground and was bleeding from his head. The man had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages, and his pants were down around mid-thighs. The man said in slurred speech that he lived in a certain building and then attempted to go into a unit that was not his. The man was involuntarily committed.
Illegal discharge: At about 3:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of South 320th Street to investigate an illegal discharge near an apartment complex. They arrived on the scene and investigated possible suspects. The case was inactive, pending camera footage of the incident.
Broken window leads to jumping: At about 4:40 a.m. in the 4900 block of SW 319th Lane, officers responded to a reported fight involving six subjects, with one said to be on the ground. Officers arrived on the scene and contacted a male who said that he confronted a female after she broke his car’s rear windshield with a rock. The male said that when confronting the female, multiple people began hitting him, causing the male to fall to the ground. Officers contacted the apartment unit where the female had gone, and she was arrested.
Cattle prod assault: At about 10:30 p.m. in the 34000 block of Enchanted Parkway South, officers received a call from a man reporting that he was driving in his vehicle when several males exited their vehicle and then assaulted the man. The man said they hit him with a cattle prod, and his hand and stomach hurt from the attack. The man said he knew one of the people, but declined medical or assistance in prosecution.
June 18
There was one vehicle theft, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Belligerent behavior: At about 12:41 p.m. in the 1600 block of South 324th Street, a lady was reported to be causing a disturbance at the Department of Licensing. The report said when officers arrived, she was throwing items on the floor and getting belligerent with employees. She was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Assault: At about 4:42 a.m. in the 19000 block of SW Campus Drive, someone reported that they were struck by a male wearing a mask. It was deemed as an assault in the fourth degree, and the case was inactive.
June 19
There were two vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Juvenile troublemakers: At about 3:38 p.m. in the 1600 block of SW 330th Place, there was a report of an unknown juvenile male riding a small toy all-terrain vehicle and wearing all black who used a toy gun to shoot some kind of object through the window of a passing vehicle. The driver looked for the juvenile after the juvenile fled, but could not locate him. The report stated that the juvenile appeared to be part of a group of three juvenile males causing trouble in the neighborhood.
Juveniles with fireworks: At about 6:44 p.m. in the 3300 block of SW 323rd Street, there was a report of two juvenile males igniting fireworks while riding their bikes. The fireworks burned a small patch of grass on the reporting party’s front lawn. The reporting party did not believe it was done on purpose. The juveniles did not stay to speak with officers.
June 20
There were two vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Illegal discharge: At about 1:10 a.m. in the 3500 block of 16th Avenue South, officers responded to a call of illegal discharge. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found shell casings on the ground.
Bullet holes in the home: At about 9 a.m. in the 3300 block of 38th Avenue South, someone reported that there were bullet holes in his house. Upon investigation, officers discovered several bullet holes in the home. Neighbors had video footage.
Mid-day attempted car theft: At about 1 p.m. at the H Mart parking lot, a man reported that when he exited the grocery store, he saw two Hispanic males exiting his truck. He said they entered a white GMC pickup truck. The victim said his driver-side door and ignition were damaged.
Involuntary committal: At about 5:30 p.m. in the 28000 block of Military Road South, a man reportedly walked into traffic. Once police approached the man, he told officers he had consumed drugs a couple of hours prior. The man told officers he did not know where he was. Officers determined that due to his drug use, the man could not take care of himself. The male was then transported to St. Francis Hospital.
Gun brandished near elementary school: At about 7:44 p.m. in the 34000 block of 12th Avenue SW, officers received a report that two men were fighting in front of Sherwood Forest Elementary School. The reporting party said one of the men eventually pulled out a handgun, but when the man noticed a witness, he entered a Nissan Altima and left the scene. Officers could not identify any victims, suspects, or the Nissan Altima.
Ski-masked robber: At about 9:22 p.m., officers responded to a call from a victim who said he had just had his vehicle and cell phone robbed by a young male in a ski mask. The victim did not see where the vehicle fled, but the vehicle was later found unoccupied within Federal Way. No injuries were suffered during the incident. The case was forwarded to the criminal investigation section.
June 21
There were three vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Strong-arm robbery: At about 7:23 a.m. in the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road, officers were initially dispatched to an assault that occurred. Following the victim’s statement, officers discovered probable cause for robbery in the second degree.
Jacket robbery: At about 4:16 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Commons, a juvenile reported that he was robbed of his jacket by an unidentified male who brandished a black firearm during the incident.
June 22
There were four vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Gas station manager assaulted: At about 3:41 p.m. in the 35000 block of Pacific Highway South, a manager was assaulted by a man over $10 worth of gas. The manager did not want to press charges, but he did want the man who assaulted him to be trespassed.
Obstructing justice: At about 7:23 p.m. in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway South, officers contacted a male who interfered with their attempts to investigate a crime. At the same time, officers put out a fire. The man was arrested for obstruction of justice.
Assault with a firearm: At about 9:34 p.m. on the 33000 block of 18th Avenue South, there was an assault with a firearm. No other details were provided.
June 23
There were six vehicle thefts, and three vehicles were recovered on this day.
Assault: At about 3:44 p.m. in the 32000 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to an assault in progress. Upon entering the scene, the suspect had already fled. Victims gave a report to officers and told them the suspect’s license plate.
Walmart assault: At about 7:41 at Walmart, a woman was attempting to shoplift, and while being apprehended by loss prevention, she hit the worker in the head with a purse. She fled in an unidentified vehicle.
June 24
There were two vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Vehicle collision fatality: At about 7:16 a.m. on 21st Avenue SW and SW 320th Street, two people were involved in a crash in which one of the drivers ultimately died. The deceased driver was having a medical emergency while driving.
Amazon Fresh shoplifting: At about 4 p.m. at Amazon Fresh, an adult female suspect was detained for shoplifting a minimal amount of food and alcohol from Amazon Fresh. Amazon Fresh did not want to press charges, but the woman was arrested on another warrant.
Shooting: At 11:50 p.m. in the 28000 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to a shooting. No more details were provided.
June 25
There were three vehicle thefts, and three vehicles were recovered on this day.
Gun, scale, fentanyl: At about 4:12 p.m. in the 32000 block of Military Road South, a backpack was turned into the office containing a gun, a scale and a single fentanyl pill. The firearm returned clear with no record, but the owner never retrieved it.
Gun brandished during shoplift: At about 10:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of SW 356th Street, the reporting party said three people had shoplifted from his store, and one of them had a handgun.
