Recovered vehicle: A vehicle owner tracked a stolen vehicle using an air tag. It was recovered by police and returned to the owner.
Vehicle robbery: At around 8:30 a.m. near the 34600 block of 2nd Lane South, a victim was inside her apartment when she heard glass breaking from the parking lot. She observed an unknown male in the driver seat of her vehicle and attempted to open the door through the broken window. The suspect responded by pointing a handgun at her and telling her to call “back off.”
Gas station robbery: Around 9 a.m., a suspect robbed a gas station on 320th Street by holding a cashier at gunpoint. Based on the description of the suspect and the escape vehicle, police believe he is the suspect in two other incidents as well.
Simple assault: An unknown male approached a female victim around 4:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of South 314th Street as she was putting her child into a child restraint in the car. The man punched her without being provoked and he walked away.
Oct. 19
There were at least 4 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Shoplifting arrest: At approximately 10:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting at a business on 21st Avenue Southwest.
Purse snatched: At approximately 9:50 a.m., a victim was putting groceries away in their vehicle when two suspects punched and kicked the victim and took their purse.
Mutual combat: Two individuals got into an physical altercation at approximately 10:30 a.m. in a grocery store on South 320th Street. One of the involved subjects was located in the police database and was found to have a warrant out of Seattle for DWI and was subsequently arrested.
Robbery: At approximately 12:40 p.m., a victim reported being robbed in the parking lot of a grocery store on Southwest Campus Drive.
Weapons offense: At approximately 3:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of South 352nd Street, a suspect was booked into jail after officers responded to an incident of road rage with a weapon.
Assault with firearm: After being interrupted while breaking into a vehicle by its owners around 7:30 p.m. at a gas station, a suspect pointed a gun at the victims and threatened to kill them. He then fled.
Oct. 20
There were at least 14 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Parent confrontation: Around 9 a.m., a father at an elementary school threatened to fight the mother of another parent.
DUI arrest: Around 1:45 a.m., a driver was found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle that he had crashed into a tree on the 2300 block of South 320th Street. He was arrested for DUI.
Oct. 21
There were at least 6 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Carjacking: Around 1 a.m., police responded to a report of an attempted carjacking in the 28600 block of Pacific Highway South.
Vehicle robbery: Officers responded to an armed robbery at gunpoint around 2 a.m. near the 2400 block of South 273rd Street in which suspects took items and the victim’s vehicle.
Nonresidential burglary: Officers responded to a building alarm of a commercial location around 6:45 a.m. in the 29400 block of Pacific Highway South. They found that a door had been shattered.
Simple assault: At approximately 8 p.m., a man attempted to remove an unknown suspect from the property. The man became aggressive and threw a metal bucket at the victim, who then sprayed pepper spray toward the suspect, who fled. The incident occurred near the 1000 block of South 320th Street.
Oct. 22
There were at least 8 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Cat hoarding: 20-plus cats were surrendered near the 30900 block of 19th Place Southwest due to possessing over the legal limit.
Attempted burglary with vehicle: An unknown suspect rammed a vehicle several times into the front door of a business in the 2000 block of South 314th Street. The suspect exited the vehicle and attempted to pull on the secured gate, but was unable to gain entry.
Oct. 23
There were at least 6 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Commercial arson: Officers responded to a suspicious fire at an unoccupied commercial building near the 31800 block of Pacific Highway South.
Assault with firearm: At around 3:25 p.m., officers responded to apartments on 16th Avenue South for a threat with a gun.
Oct. 24
There were at least 13 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Attempted purse theft: Around 11 a.m. near the 35100 block of Enchanted Parkway South, a victim placed their purse in a shopping cart at the business and began to walk toward the front door. A suspect grabbed her purse out of the cart and began to run toward a waiting vehicle, but tripped and fell. An employee recovered the purse and the suspect fled.
Stolen vehicle fire: Around 3:55 p.m., a stolen vehicle was driven into a pole near the 34000 block of 19th Avenue Southwest and subsequently caught on fire. The occupants fled on foot.
