Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:
• Caregiver steals from deceased: At 11:02 a.m. April 2 at 32027 26th Ave. S.W., a complainant reported the owner of an adult home care facility fraudulently issued checks belonging to a deceased former patient. The checks amounted to $32,000.
• Speeding driver bears gun: At 3:57 p.m. March 31 in the 400 block of Southwest 368th Street, a speeding driver pulled over, got out of his or her vehicle and used a handgun to threaten two victims who told the suspect to slow down.
• Graffiti: At 1:18 p.m. March 31 in the 33300 block of 24th Avenue Southwest, it was reported that an unknown suspect painted graffiti on a victim’s fence.
• Fight: At 11:57 p.m. April 3 at 27201 Pacific Highway S., a victim was hit in the head with a pool stick when a male, who was engaged in a fight with several other suspects, swung the stick back in preparation for a blow to another suspect.
• Shoplifting scene stealer: At 8:30 p.m. April 3 at 1910 S. 320th St., three suspects shoplifted from T.J.Maxx. When they were confronted outside the store by loss prevention, one suspect ran back into the retailer screaming and knocking over merchandise.
• Theme park break-in: At 8:58 p.m. April 3 at 36201 Enchanted Parkway S., a Wild Waves staff member reported several wooden boards missing from a perimeter fence. The employee believed someone may have illegally entered the park. No damage or theft was immediately seen.
• Stolen prescription: At 5:27 p.m. April 3 at 34520 16th Ave. S., a victim reported the theft of a bottle of oxycodone from her purse while she shopped at Wal-Mart.
• Vehicle break-in: At 2:20 p.m. April 3 in the 31531 1st Ave. S., a victim left her vehicle parked while she walked her dog. When she returned, the vehicle’s window was smashed and the victim’s purse, containing credit cards and identification, was missing.
• Dog attack: At 12:38 p.m. April 3 in the 33300 block of 26th Avenue Southwest, a group of children flagged down an officer and reported that a pit bull had just attacked and killed a smaller dog. The officer located the pit bull and the deceased dog. The pit bull was removed by animal control.
